5 Mascaras I Think Are Best!
Choosing the right mascara for my eyelashes has been a bane for me for a long time. I tested and tried many products. However, something always didn’t feel right for me. I wasn’t getting the results I wanted. It took me some time to find a product that met my expectations and today I want to share my ranking with you, guys!
Why did I feel dissatisfied with my previous mascaras?
As I mentioned before, I tested many lash makeup products. Some of them were supposed to make my lashes longer, others thicker and others more curly. I used to buy drugstore mascaras one after another. I wasted time and money, and overall, it was a stressful experience.
Finally, I decided to find the right solution, and no – it was not false lashes. I focused on mascaras from other brands which are unlikely to be available in every drugstore. I also checked the reviews of other users and decided to test the chosen mascaras on my lashes!
Ranking – 5 mascaras that met my requirements
Girls, I selected 5 mascaras to test. I rated each of them in 3 aspects:
- durability;
- the brush;
- the effects achievable.
I remained fully objective in my reviews. I was not guided by my favorite brand or other factors. I wanted my ranking to be as helpful to you as possible!
1. Nanolash mascara
The ranking opens with the Nanolash mascara, which in my opinion is an excellent product. First of all, I appreciate the safe formula which does not overburden my lashes. Moreover, this mascara made my lash look last all day. I didn’t notice any flaking or clumping.
After the first application, the lashes were precisely separated, longer, and properly defined. Certainly, without the perfectly shaped silicone brush, I could not have achieved these results. Thanks to it, I could reach even the tiniest lashes in the corner of my eyes.
I also appreciate the fact that the Nanolash mascara comes in two versions:
- Nanolash Volume Up Mascara – a thickening mascara;
- Nanolash Length & Curl Mascara – a lengthening and curling mascara.

2. Lashcode Mascara
Lashcode Mascara is another mascara I am happy with. This lengthening and thickening mascara allowed me to achieve spectacular results, just after the first brush stroke. This brush, just like the Nanolash mascara, is also silicone and perfectly shaped.
As for the longevity of Lashcode Mascara, I have no complaints here either. From the moment I applied it during my morning makeup routine, to the moment I removed my makeup, it did not crumble or flake.
3. Lancome Mascara Hypnose Doll Eyes
The next place goes to Lancome Mascara Hypnose Doll Eyes. This is a mascara with a pretty good formula and velvety texture. I also didn’t have any major complaints about the brush. It features cone-shaped bristles and this allows it to reach even the shortest lashes.
Unfortunately, as for the durability of the product, I’m not so optimistic anymore. At the end of the day, I noticed that the mascara began to smudge and a characteristic “panda eyes effect” appeared. For me, this was the biggest drawback of this product.
4. Laura Mercier Extra Lash Sculpting Mascara
The next product on my list is Laura Mercier Extra Lash Sculpting Mascara. This is a curling mascara that is supposed to lengthen the lashes as well. However, at this point, it’s worth contrasting the product with reality. While I don’t deny that the lashes looked longer, I didn’t notice any noticeable curl.
At the end of the day, the mascara also started to get flaky which was extremely disappointing to me. However, I have nothing bad to say about the brush. It’s well-shaped and operating it wasn’t much of a problem for me.
5. Lancome Oscillation Power Mascara
I tested this mascara mainly out of curiosity. I saw many advertisements boasting of its excellent action. However, these claims were quite exaggerated.
As for the longevity, it is quite a big drawback. The mascara crumbled after a few hours, plus it smudged quickly too. The second problem for me was its performance. I didn’t notice it actually spectacularly lengthened my lashes, although I applied two coats of the product.
On the plus side, the brush turned out to be pretty good. It is well-shaped and tapered at the tip which makes it easier to reach shorter lashes.
Summary of my best mascara ranking
To summarize the ranking above, I want to emphasize that these are my impressions after testing the products. So you do not have to agree with me.
For me, the Nanolash mascara remains the winner. It is a premium product I use with real pleasure. Moreover, the results of using the Nanolash mascara are exactly what I expected.
The other products are also not bad, although I found minor flaws in them, which bothered me a bit. So choose a mascara that allows you to bring out the potential of your eyes!
