I Tested The Most Popular Lash Extension Kits. Which One Impressed Me The Most?

I decided to carry out a thorough test of at-home eyelash extension kits to find out which of the most popular cluster lash sets are truly worth the attention. I focused on a few highly sought-after kits to evaluate how they perform in practice. I tested the most popular cluster lash kits, and now I can share my impressions and point out those truly worth trying.

To give my eyes more depth, I often turn to cluster lashes. However, traditional application methods can be time-consuming, so I decided to try DIY lash extensions, which are reportedly much faster to apply. The market offers many kits containing everything needed for applying them, so I decided to test several of them and share my thoughts. Here’s a ranking of five products from top brands.

What should be included in an at-home lash extension kit?

Choosing the right kit wasn’t easy because the selection is vast, and many professional kits come from reputable beauty brands. I decided to focus on those that are most popular and highly-rated. A DIY lash extension kit should include cluster lashes as well as products like a bonder and sealer. An applicator is also an important component – it should be well-shaped to facilitate precise lash application.

While reviewing the available kits, I noticed the absence of a remover in some of them, making the lash removal process more difficult. Although it’s not always included, it’s worth choosing a kit that comes with it to make the lash removal process easier and more comfortable. Unfortunately, many respected brands don’t offer a remover in their starter kits, which can be problematic.

My observations after testing five top kits

To ensure my opinion on this lash extension method and the products tested was as reliable as possible, I focused on several key aspects. I evaluated the contents of each kit, how long it took to apply the cluster lashes, whether the process was easy, and what the final effects of each product were. Here are my impressions:

1. Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit

My journey with DIy cluster lashes began with searching for a starter kit that included everything needed for styling the lashes DIY style. That’s how I came across the Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit, which comes with 36 cluster lashes in three lengths: 10 mm, 12 mm, and 14 mm. The kit also includes a bonder and sealer (5 ml each), an applicator, and a remover (5 ml).

Upon opening the box, I immediately noticed that all the elements were neatly organized and labeled, which significantly facilitated my prepping process for lash extensions. The cluster lashes turned out to be exceptionally soft, making their application to my natural lashes remarkably easy. The included applicator was very practical – thanks to its ergonomic shape and comfortable grip, I could place the cluster lashes with precision without using tweezers.

The entire process of applying the lashes took only 10 minutes, which surprised me pleasantly and gave me great satisfaction. The Nanolash kit lasted for four full applications, and each one was quick and easy to perform. Additionally, the cluster lashes lasted over a week, which increased my satisfaction with this product further. What’s more, the kit is available with cluster lashes in eight different styles, enabling perfectly customized looks for various occasions.

In summary, the Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit is an ideal option for those who want quick and easy at-home lash extensions. The high quality of the cluster lashes and well-thought-out accessories make the application enjoyable, and the final result is long-lasting and natural. This kit allowed me to enjoy my beautiful lashes without frequent touch-ups, which simplified my daily makeup routine greatly.

2. Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit

The Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit caught my attention due to its wide selection of cluster lash sizes and styles. Moreover, it contains all the necessary accessories, such as a bonder, sealer, remover, and an applicator.

However, despite the kit seeming very well-equipped, I cannot overlook some significant drawbacks. Glamnetic claims that the cluster lashes can last up to 5 days, but unfortunately, they didn’t last that long in my case – I decided to remove them earlier. The biggest disappointment was the appearance of the cluster lashes after the application. Compared to other brands, the lashes from this kit didn’t look as natural as I had hoped. If you’re aiming for a subtle, natural effect, you might be disappointed.

3. Tatti Lashes Invisi-Lash Kit

The Tatti Lashes Invisi-Lash Kit offers cluster lashes on a black or clear strip, providing some flexibility depending on your preferences. Additionally, I could choose from as many as seven different cluster lash styles, which was a big plus as it allowed me to find the perfect lash shape for different looks.

The kit also included Invisi-Lash Bond and Seal Glue, and an applicator with a small brush, which facilitated lash application greatly. Unfortunately, the kit didn’t include a remover, which was a bit of a hassle as I had to use products from other kits to remove the lashes.

Despite this, the application went very smoothly, prompting me to reach for this kit several times. As a result, I managed to complete seven full applications, which is a pretty good result. The cluster lashes held very well and looked natural, which is undoubtedly a huge plus of this kit.

4. Lashify Starter Kit

As a blogger testing various makeup products, I couldn’t ignore the Lashify Starter Kit, despite its high price. I wanted to see what sets this DIY lash extension kit apart from others on the market.

The lash clusters are incredibly soft and nearly identical to natural lashes, which impressed me immediately. The kit included everything necessary for a complete lash experience: 10 lash clusters, a bonder, sealer, applicator, and a remover. The bonder, applied before placing the lash clusters, ensures their durability, while the sealer secures the final look, making it last longer. The applicator, designed as specially-shaped tweezers, helps to apply the lash clusters precisely, which is a huge plus, especially for beginners. The remover makes it incredibly easy to remove the cluster lashes after wearing them.

Applying the Lashify cluster lashes was extremely simple and quick, and the final effect exceeded my expectations. The lashes looked natural, and my gaze gained incredible definition. Unfortunately, the kit contains only 10 lash clusters, which meant I used them all during one application. For this reason, I believe the kit’s price is slightly excessive, considering how quickly the clusters run out.

5. Kiss Falscara Starter Kit

This is one of the smaller kits available on the market. The Kiss Falscara Starter Kit contains only 10 lash clusters, which immediately caused my mixed feelings, especially considering its price.

The kit included two products that are crucial for the durability of the lash look. BOND, applied before putting on the lash clusters, is designed to ensure the false lashes adhere firmly to the natural ones, which is absolutely essential for a lasting effect. SEAL is applied at the end to secure the clusters and ensure they stay in place for longer.

Although the application was simple and I really liked the final effect, as the lashes looked subtle yet added definition to my gaze, I must admit the kit has some drawbacks. The lack of a remover in the kit makes it significantly more difficult to remove the lashes after wearing them, which is a major downside. Additionally, the small number of cluster lashes means the kit runs out quickly, which somewhat undermines its cost-effectiveness.

Conclusion On The Most Popular At-Home Eyelash Extension Kits

In my ranking, I included products that seemed most interesting and that I had the opportunity to personally test. I must admit that I have a definite favorite in this category, which I will gladly use again.

When deciding to repurchase a kit, I will definitely choose Nanolash again, although I haven’t decided which cluster lash style I will try next yet. The product met all my expectations, and I can confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable at-home eyelash extension kit.

I’m very curious about your experiences with at-home lash extensions and would love to hear your opinions. Which cluster lashes for self-application do you consider the best? I’m looking forward to your comments!
