Check Out: My List of Best Vitamin C Face Serums

Hi there!

I’m happy you’ve popped in to check my new post with the best beauty products. Today I’m focusing on a vitamin C face serum – a cosmetic that each of us should have.

Effect of vitamin C face serum

It’s said there are no one-size-fits-all skincare products but I believe that a vitamin C face serum is one such. It can be used on every type of skin – dry, combination, oily or ‘normal’. Your age isn’t important either because it works equally well on a 20-year-old’s complexion and mature skin. Vitamin C serum also helps handle problems such as acne or discolored skin. It restores lovely looks to dull, tired-looking faces, which is what makes it my daily face care must-have.

A high-quality vitamin C serum:

  • brightens pigmentation spots (from acne, sun, etc.)
  • fixes uneven skin tone and delivers lovely shine
  • counteracts oxidation, reducing harmfulness of free radicals
  • brings elasticity and firmness
  • guarantees in-depth nourishing and encourages skin repair

Which vitamin C facial serum to pick?

I’m sorry if I upset those of you who think it’s enough to go to the store and get any random face serum with vitamin C in the INCI. It is not enough. Not every vitamin C serum will give you desired results.

While shopping for a vitamin C serum, I suggest paying attention to a few important things. Is the consistency light enough to sink in well without making the skin oily? Does it contain natural ingredients? And the most crucial factor: what form and concentration of ascorbic acid does it have? Is it stable vitamin C? Is it a major ingredient or included in trace amounts?

You can either search for a product that meets the requirements on your own or look through my reviews.

Best Vitamin C Serums – Ranking

Keep reading for products I recommend to everyone!

NANOIL VITAMIN C SERUM

Nanoil Vitamin C Face Serum is my favorite. It is a very lightweight, water-based face enhancer which has been formulated without oils so it is good for every skin type, not causing excessive oil production. The product is rich in vitamin C in the form of a strongly-working ethyl ascorbic acid producing long-term effects. A plant antioxidant – Boerhavia Diffusa Extract – is a great addition. They both lighten the skin and make it glow from the very first use. This serum handled my post-acne marks and made my face much smoother and younger-looking. A bottle that lasts long and an affordable price are extra assets for sure! I really recommend testing it.

MARIO BADESCAU VITAMIN C SERUM

Mario Badescau Vitamin C Serum is my second best. The brand is slightly less known but it’s worth trying because they sell products with very beneficial ingredients. This serum, for example, combines vitamin C, collagen and hyaluronic acid so it works on many levels – brightens, illuminates, delivers elasticity, rejuvenates and maintains optimal hydration. You’ll recognize Mario Badescau’s serum by a green glass bottle and a light-colored label. It is non-greasy and silicone-free so it sinks in well too. I like the effects but dislike the price and bottle size for sure. I’ll stick to my Nanoil!

SESDERMA VITAMIN C SERUM

Sesderma C-VIT Liposomal Serum is next in my round-up. I couldn’t skip it because it seems to be one of the most popular vitamin C serums. It’s famous for locking vitamin C in liposomes which are supposed to transport it to the dermis more easily. To me, it is simply a good vitamin C product and I can’t say it displays some miraculous properties. The formula contains ethyl ascorbic acid, which is a stable vitamin C, plus mulberry extract, ginkgo extract and hyaluronic acid. That’s why Sesderma C-VIT Serum always has such a nice smoothening, moisturizing and nourishing effect.

DRUNK ELEPHANT VITAMIN C SERUM

I also recommend Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum. It has a gel consistency, abounds in vitamins (15-percent pure vitamin C and 1-percent vitamin E), and is enriched with ferulic acid, peptides and extracts from pumpkin and pomegranate. 90-percent of the formula is made out of natural ingredients and Drunk Elephant scores a point for that! Too bad it has a few times higher price than other vitamin C serums despite rather unspectacular effects which are typical of such products – brighter, more radiant, younger-looking face. There are cheaper alternatives but this one is fine too (if you can afford it).

CLINIQUE VITAMIN C SERUM

Last but not least, Clinique Fresh Pressed Daily Booster which includes pure vitamin C. This creamy face serum may appeal to you if you don’t want to overspend – you can get yourself a budget sample for testing! As far as effects go, it is a good daily care product – not the best one but manages to lighten the skin, repair it, make the face look younger, moisturize, reduce pigmentation marks, and correct the skin tone. Unsurprisingly, it is possible thanks to vitamin C in the formula. What else does it contain? A couple of botanical extracts, peptides, and squalane which is essential to our skin.

These were my suggestions – let me know if you’ve used any of the vitamin C serums I’ve listed and if they work well on your skin. I’m curious about your favorites! If you haven’t got one, it’s time to build a vitamin-packed serum into your daily skincare routine and boast a lovely face.

Till next time!
